I have completed my bachelors in Physics, in which I was keenly interested in subjects related to data analytics. Knowing the importance and lucrative prospects in data analytics and the similarities in the roles of a Physicist and a Data Scientist, I was naturally inclined towards the latter. I discovered that a physicist gathers data from experiments whereas a data scientist from different sources. Both study the collected information and create efficient models to reach towards data-backed conclusions . Hence, the journey from a physics student to a data scientist has few overlaps which can smoothen up the transition. After realising that a core physics course isn’t enough to achieve a desired professional growth and evolve into a proficient data scientist, I opted learning Data analytics with python, SQL basic, SQL intermediate, Introduction to MS Excel and Business analytics with excel via online courses. I also have certifications for the same.
To Kickstart my career in data analytics, the Internship programme at Adani Ports provided me with a valuable opportunity to gain real-world experience in the field.
