Profile

Ahsan is an experienced business system analyst who started his professional career in the Public Sector working as a Consulting System Analyst for Accenture. April 2017 – November 2022

Ascella stood up a proprietary system called NEAT to allow SEC examiners to conduct compliance exams’ analysis. Worked as a Business System Analyst to continuously gather requirements from the stakeholders to create the first version of the software and then consistent upgrades to the analysis features. Collaborated with Dev and QA team to translate functional requirements into technical requirements, test cases and use case mapping. Supported and executed close partnerships with stakeholders to ensure seamless implementation and integration of the enhanced features. Provided support on all the system components such as database, cloud integration, report generator. Facilitated all the scrum events such as sprint planning, daily scrum, sprint review and sprint retrospective. Created testing artifacts for pre and post testing activities and took active part in testing.

Also worked as a data analyst where I was also the user of the NEAT system in order to understand and better facilitate the types of analysis being conducted. Regularly staged trade blotters with hundreds of thousands financial transactions’ and conducted analysis to generate conclusive reports to aid SEC examiners in their daily mission.

Ahsan has worked as a Technical Systems Analyst to ensure OTC contracts’ data migration between different systems. Primarily working on EDX interface, Ahsan has developed expertise in understanding data residing in the EDX Oracle staging tables and have also gained familiarity with that data’s representation in MPS (upstream) and SAP IS Media (Downstream) systems. Ahsan mostly worked with Oracle RDBMS, making API calls via REST client, SAP IS billing system, Zendesk and Service Now ticket management systems and JIRA.

Fannie Mae: Business Systems Analyst, Accenture Contractor

As a key goal of the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) Strategic Plan for Enterprise Conservatorships, FHFA is developing a new securitization infrastructure to align and improve the business practices of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. This new securitization platform is called Common Securitization Platform (CSP).

As part of the Enterprise Data Infrastructure (EDI) System Analysis group, ahsan conducted thorough system analysis between different source systems that were feeding data to the target (CSP). Accenture built the Interface Data Store (IDS) to store all the data coming from different sources before vending out the required information to CSP. Responsibilities included:

Work as a System analyst within an Agile scrum team to create Source to Target Mapping (STTM) deliverable for consumption by developers and testers.

Review, understand and validate logical and physical data models using ER studio.

Work on multiple interfaces for System Analyst activities to deliver Loan and Pool level data.

Conduct impact analysis on downstream source systems/applications due to change of source system data transformations.

HSBC had implemented Detica's Norkom (AML Application) Case Management solution to support its Anti Money Laundering and Fraud Alerts.

Ahsan worked as a technical team lead for implementing that solution. Worked with offshore technical team and onshore functional/technical stakeholders to define the business requirements and the eventual technical design blueprint. Engaged other Norkom (solution) SMEs as well as product support team (from the vendor) to customize the solution to fit the enterprise strategic objectives. Adhered to FINCEN regulatory parameters to customize the solution for federal reporting requirements. Also configured the Norkom solution hands on to present as a Demo application to internal and external stakeholders. Mentored junior technical staff by transferring the development knowledge for in house development. Worked consistently with the vendor technical team to estimate the effort required and the ultimate costing of their consulting services. Worked with Data Modellers to define the schemas based on the enterprise's domain and organizational units.

BAE Systems Detica Norkom: Technical System Analyst

October 2012 - September 2013

Detica NetReveal implemented Case Management solution to create custom screens and workflows in order to upgrade the existing 5.7 system to 6.5 version using just the Framework as well as EIM vertical (for reference only).

Ahsan was responsible for implementing custom screens and workflows for the Experian Upgrade project. Using existing screens and workflows as a reference to build new screens and workflows from scratch, to meet client specific customizations. He was also responsible to create and deliver the final Packaged Software Build to the QA as well as to the client. Responsibilities included:

Scoping the Solutions Document to describe the changes to be implemented between the older legacy customizations and the new solution being deployed.

Working closely with the client to gather requirements for the service and to determine integration points with the existing service. Created Requirements Traceability Matrix documentation.

Conducted Gap analysis to identify the steps needed to get to the desired solution state.

Creating complex queries involving views, tables while keeping the performance impacts in consideration.

Carrying out all screen and workflow implementations from the solution’s design documentation to ensure client requirements and customizations are met according to the requirements.

Being on his first project with Detica, Ahsan was able to start contributing right away without much product specific training under his belt, and proved to be a quick learner as he went along. Effectively participated in client meetings and presented and addressed client’s questions and DeticaNetReveal (DNR) Solution’s aspects in clear and concise manner. Ensured regular Code and Configuration Check ins using Apache Subversion (SVN) software versioning and revision control system. Assisted senior technical lead in bringing up and maintaining the application servers (weblogic, jboss).Created custom installation guides to deploy all the new functionality and assisted Technical Lead for installation during the System Integration phase.
