Hello,

My name is Karina Barratt and I am writing this resume to better outline and detail my extensive work history in the manufacturing industry.I am currently working as a technician for a well known camper/ RV dealer in the McBee SC area. I am currently the very first female technician that browns has ever hired. I currently perform maintenence both mechanical and electrical to the camper, RV and fifth wheel units. I have worked as a machine operator performing basic setup such as loading dye pellets into a hopper and then into a thermoplastic injection molding machine. Setting the guages to specified numbers that are in the work orders. Setting the moulds when working in extrusion. We key these numbers into the computer to specify the type of mould we are using to set the liquid plastic. We also specify flow temp, input, output, speed. We use cam and cad software such as trumpf or Mastercam as computer programs that control the machine interface and programmable logic controllers on the robots that are moving material using an X axis Y axis d axis C axis some of the machines I ran and Otis where 7 axis machines.

Such as the bend master, I learned a lot about robots, troubleshooting and programming cnc machines. I worked In metal fabrication at Otis so learning how to bend metal, engrave metal and load tools into the machines to enable the machine to bend the sheet metal. I have experience as a mechanical Assembler,. Building motors form CAT Isuzu and John Deer. I have worked for companies such as Atlas Copco building very large generator units at Honda I assembled ATVs and worked in extrusion. I am skilled with following work instructions as well as assembling mechanical parts. Electromechanical parts and reading blue prints machine operator CAD/CAM software programmable logic controllers and machine interface. Experienced in the use of all power tools and hand tools as well as pneumatic power tools. I can use multimeters, calipers, micrometers and tape measures. I know how to build and assemble using work instructions, wiring diagrams and parts lists. Using wiring diagrams to wire up the ECU units or breaker boxes into the generator units. Building circuits and switches. Adhering to all safety standards. OSHA safety training in CPR and AED. Machine set up and using job orders to input specs into the computer. Punch press/laser combo. Metal fabrication, lathes and chain/ belt driven machines. Plastic injection molding, press machines digital press, rollo machines. Following work instructions, wiring diagrams, assembling anything using hand and power tools. Proficient using standard or metric sizes. Using air compressors and air hoses. Running both pneumatic and hydraulic machines as well as troubleshooting mechanics and electronics using multi meters checking for conductivity, as well as experience adhering to safety standards lock out tag out etc. With all of this valuable work experience I have been looking for a apprenticeship in machine tool or apprentice as a technician. I believe my experience and drive would be a valuable asset for any company. Thank you for taking the time to read over my resume. Sincerely,

Karina Barratt

Work Experience

Maintenence Technician

Brown's RV Superstore - McBee, SC

January 2022 to Present

I am currently employed as the very first female technician that has ever worked for Brown's RV. I am responsible for conducting annual inspections as well as pre delivery inspections on the fifth wheel camper units as well as the RV units. I have a lot of experience working with gas powered and diesel powered generators, inverters and converters. At Browns I troubleshoot any complaints the customers may have. I fix floors, I install appliances, I reinforce the slides on the campers and install new tracks on the slides. I install awnings and replace awning fabric. Walk the roof and inspect for any areas that may need repair or lap seal around the skylights and exhaust fans. De winterizing the units by bypassing the hot water heater and draining the sinks of antifreeze. As well as performing drop tests to ensure their are no LP leaks and filling the lo tanks. Troubleshooting the electrical in these units is quite interesting because they have a 12 volt dc side and a 120 vold ac side. Both sides power different things on the camper units. For example your slides are run on the dc side or the battery Incase you need to move the slides in and out while driving. Understanding the hot water heater runs on both electric and gas. The use of multimeters was a must. Installing and wiring up power brakes for the e-2 hitches which I also installed.Wiring up new fuse boxes in old units as well as low point drains, chacking the water pumps by hooking up to the city water connection. Checking the hot water heater works on both gas and electric side. I love my job as a technician and would love to stay a tech. I work in extreme weather, and I have for a long time. I prefer to work outside. I also have an excellent repor with my customers and aim to please Browns customers.

Electrical and Mechanical Assembler

Atlas Copco - Rock Hill, SC

January 2020 to January 2022

I assemble motors for different model pumps and generators. I have worked with CAT motors John Deere as well as Isuzu motors. I also mount the motors and drop and connect the wiring harness up to the motor and other components. I also install the vessels and run the gas lines. All using work instructions and blue prints I am given to follow. Using the proper torque guns and applying the proper torque value to any bolts or clamps. As well as applying torque marks and filling out the proper paperwork. Machine Operator III

Otis Elevators - Florence, SC

January 2020 to January 2022

As a machine operator III and programmer I am at Otis currently running a bandmaster, a store master and sheet master 7000 built by trumpf. These machines also have interface and programmable logic controllers. The interface is great because it allows the machines to work in sync with one another. Otis manufactures elevators and I work in the sheet metal fabrication department. My job is to run setup on the three machines which one is a punch/ laser combo and the other just works one the y and z axis to moved the raw material from the tower down to the sheet master that pick up the metal and sets it on the laser puch combo to engrave into the sheet metal. I make the production list when I go in depending on what parts the line needs to run production for that shift. After I have made the list then I put the contract numbers into the computer and program the specs into the computer program. The bandmaster has a robotic arm that picks up the sheet metal and holds it in the bandmaster to be bent. Troubleshooting the robotics is really great experience and has allowed me to enhance my operation skills. I run the coupons to cut the tools needed for that contract. I also do the TPM's or preventative maintenance steps. I install the tools into the punch laster machine. I also check the compressed gas on the back of the machine. Helium oxygen carbon dioxide. Make sure all gauges are in the green. Monitor the machine after start up to ensure the machine is producing quality product. Inspecting dimensions using micrometers and calipers. Documenting any downtime. Inputting flow rate speed input output. Depth, using programmable logic controllers and interface to coordinate machines and monitoring. Mechanical Assembly Technician

Honda of Timmonsville - Timmonsville, SC

January 2018 to January 2020

While at Honda I worked on a line building sub assemblies. Using air hoses and air guns. The sub assemblies where then mounted to the atv units on the main line. I had a standard of operations book that held all the work instructions, part numbers and torque values that I needed to follow to complete my process. Honda was production based and had a moving line. I also had blue prints to help. I assembled the beds of the ATVs and dropped the wiring harnesses and connected them to the proper components.
