SKILLS:

Good understanding of emergency trauma care and plastering techniques.

Trained in all basic surgical procedures in minor and major OT,with surgical exposure in k wire fixation, debridement, open reduction and plating, all nailing procedures, also assisted for a few total hip and knee replacement cases .

Cold orthopedics – Closed manipulative correction of congenital problems, Biopsies and excision of benign lesions, Incision and drainage of acute osteomyelitis/Septic arthritis.

Basic spine and arthroscopic surgeries.

Performed Internal fixation of various complex fractures.

Assisted and performed major Operative Procedures like spine trauma, cold and deformity corrections, Hip Replacement and Knee Replacement, arthroscopy.

Responsibilities:

•Under supervision undertook the following procedures –Lumbar puncture, Naso-Gastric tube insertion, Urinary Catheter Insertion, Acquiring Peripheral line, USG guided Pleural Tapping.

•Participating in Community Service at various Health Centres throughout the city covering–primary health centre –Urban health centre .

•Undertook the role of Medical Officer in the Central Blood Bank.

•Assisted and conducted Normal/complicated vaginal deliveries. Learned basic orthopaedic procedures like splinting, traction application, dressings etc
