WORK HISTORY STC INSTRUCTOR 04/1995 to 03/2019
Alameda County Probation Department San Leandro, CA I was a Certified Chemical Agent Instructor. I trained staff and supervisors on the laws, policy, and procedures that pertained and authorized the usage of Pepper Spray in the Institutions using both props, visual aids and scenario based training.
I created lesson plans and a classroom curriculum that was certified by the state of California to ensure that staff were trained in the right environment and given the proper tools to use this added tool both properly and professionally. I tested each staff at the completion of the training to ensure proper knowledge. I also incorporated this into my daily duties as a Supervisor II. I performed spot training and gave assistance when asked or upon review of an incident or report.
INSTITUTIONAL SUPERVISOR II 03/1993 to 03/2019
Alameda County Probation Department San Leandro, CA In this position I was in charge of Juvenile Hall on the 2pm-10pm shift. I applied strong leadership skills, problem solving skills, maintained policy/procedures, and supervision over not over detainees, staff, and Unit Supervisors but outside agencies that came in to service our youth. I approved daily unit programs. I ensured that all equipment was not only available but in working condition. I ensured that all staff and supervisors wore proper work attire and was equipped with the proper tools. In this capacity I mentored both senior staff and incoming staff. I conducted on the job training and held daily staff musters to improve our work as a team and to share knowledge among staff. I oversaw all daily reports, camera footage, and log books. I worked with staff and supervisors to implement proper division of responsibilities and supervision coverage. I had daily contact with parent, police officer, and probation staff to assist in problem solving, information sharing, and proper understanding.
I also assisted and participated in the policy and procedure updating and creating committees.
LEAD CASHIER 03/1985 to 08/1993

I was a cashier and later became Lead Cashier. We had a variety of Departments that led to a large number of customers with varied interests. I worked the cash registers, I worked the various departments. I enjoyed working the Fishing Department, the Radio Department, the Hardware Department, the Health Care and Beauty Department, and did nightly cash checkouts. I also assisted in the ordering and inventory process.
