Inventory Control/Receiving
Ensure manufacturing and field operations have the materials and tools needed by maintaining acceptable levels of inventory and purchasing materials. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, procurement, inventory transactions, inventory accuracy, fulfilling orders, maintaining tools and equipment. These responsibilities shall be conducted following ISO 9001 guidelines, with safety, quality and service the top priorities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Purchase or work directly within Supply Chain to maintain acceptable inventory levels through ROP (reorder points), Kanbans and EOQ (economic order quantities)
• Purchase or work directly within Supply Chain to acquire job specific/special materials, such as aggregates, billets, bed foam, wood and cement
• Receive, verify, and store all shipments delivered to Fabcon, Inc. with the exception of office supplies and equipment
• Daily back flush of manufacturing orders
• Cross train in the Purchasing Department to back-up Buyer’s responsibilities
• Sign, date, and enter receipts into IFS that automatically adjusts inventory levels
• Random counting of received parts to ensure accuracy from Suppliers
• Fill field orders by taking direct requests, entering orders, and distributing pick tickets
• Enter information into the computer system to relieve inventory
• Organize and maintain warehousing of all parts, tools and supplies
• Perform physical inventories by counting every part number in stock
• Perform weekly cycle counting and report data
• Count, enter credit, and return items to stock that have been returned from a job site
• Maintain calibration on required tools that are inventoried, in the plants or on field trucks
