1. Preparing designs, plans, layouts, and engineering calculations using tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Excel, Energy Modeling, other computer programs, hand-drafting tools) in accordance with organizational guidelines.

Coordinating the installation and/or repair of mechanical and Electrical and Computer equipment or systems.
5. Producing biddable and buildable contract documents for the fabrication or construction of new Systems or facilities or upgrading of existing Systems/ facilities. 6. Coordinating mechanical or Electrical drawings with various project disciplines ( structural, electrical, mechanical, civil, estimating) by using regulatory guidelines, specifications, contract documents, plans, and input from project disciplines, in order to ensure quality and completeness of work, within budget and project scope.
7. Reviewing and providing comments on contractor’s drawings, submittals, and Requests For Information (RFI) for conformance with design and contract documents, and applicable construction codes and standards.
8. Conducting engineering field investigations of potential or existing job sites for the installation of mechanical / electrical systems using inspection techniques and analytical skills. 9. Preparing and/or composing engineering reports and memoranda covering design analysis, engineering criteria, construction inspection, meetings, and discussions in accordance with organizational goals.
10. Preparing material lists and purchase requisitions, specifications, and estimates to ensure projects are constructed within budget using cost estimating and research skills in compliance with organizational guidelines.
11. Evaluating and verifying contractor’s progress using site observations, inspection reports, communication with the contractor, et cetera to validate monthly progress payments. 12. Contacting manufacturers regarding mechanical equipment, specifications, installations, and cost estimates to prepare plans, specifications, and estimates. 13. Providing guidance and technical direction to peers, engineers, designers, and delineators/draft persons using technical knowledge, and interpersonal and communication skills to prepare studies, plans and specifications, and estimates.
14. Maintain cooperative relations with peers, consultants, contractors, and other engineering personnel using technical knowledge, and interpersonal and communication skills to ensure the timely and accurate completion of projects.
15. Recommending improvements to existing mechanical equipment or systems to sustain the safe operation of the organization’s building systems.
16. Utilizing computer programs (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Energy Pro, Trane TRACE) to ensure the timely and accurate completion of projects.
17. Performing studies, research, and investigations to replace mechanical systems, buildings, and various facilities using field inspection techniques, analytical skills, as-built drawings, and correspondence with clients.
