Based on the shoe curriculum being taught at Corlears I designed a museum curriculum and conducted a tour in the Arms & Armour gallery at the Metropolitan Museum of Art to augment this focused study. The students learned about the varying styles of shoes worn by the people and knights of the Middle Ages.

The Greenwich Village School, New York 5th grade Student teacher 9/07 to 11/08

As part of my Museum Education and Childhood Education degree I was required to student teach and develop curriculum in an upper elementary grade. To assist students to prepare for the New York State exam in U.S. history, I developed a curriculum on the three branches of government using music and theatrical readings of well-known U.S. law makers and leaders. In addition, I facilitated reading and writing workshops, and designed a museum tour at the historical Gracie Mansion located in Carl Schurz Park in New York City.

American International School of Cape Town History/Theatre Arts Teacher, Secondary School 7/04 to 7/05

Recruited to develop and implement a theatre program for Middle and High School students, which included teaching the basic tenets of acting (voice, physical movement, character development and improvisation) with instruction on the basics of dramaturgical analysis
