I was in the process of learning when they let me go. In my opinion I did not get a fair shot at the position and no structured training there was literally a revolt in the SLC department because I was hired to the supervisor position instead of others who had been there for years, and then I end up paying for it, it’s a long story and we can talk about it.

My responsibilities: Logistics receiving, warehousing, and shipping coordination and directing of Leads, Clerks, Forklift drivers, and Floor worker laborers, anywhere from 12 to 30 employees, Inventory management and production tracking, Management of point system and incident reporting and tracking along with safety issues and awareness coaching. I worked from the laptop they provided, using Microsoft office suite applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Teams, and Skype also many other computer apps like snip. Those are besides the programs related to the proprietary systems that were needed for everyday business. PKMS & Compass both warehouse inventory management systems, YMS for the yard, these are some of the logistics systems we used. Time and PTO tracking in Dayforce, corporate communications email, VPN for remote work. I was expected to answer emails all week even when not scheduled.

My responsibilities as Materials Receiving Lead reporting to the Materials Manager, I verified for proper product and count of deliveries, coordinated, logged in “Smart Sheets” a program viewable by all management and dispatched returns of incorrect product and damages back to vendor for replacement or credit. Data input of materials received into the PKMS warehousing computer system to properly label, track and fulfill customer orders in a timely manner. Corporate email communication to verify need, confirm product, and order status. When short staffed I would unload the trucks, and stage materials safely and orderly, and often after unloading, receiving, and labeling according to priority for the days ESD “estimated ship date’ priority I would have to place product pallets into the 5-tier racking system with a Reach Truck for storage to clear the receiving floor to be ready for the next day’s shipments. Radio Frequency “RF” scanner “gun” was used for the “put away” process for proper inventory tracking.
