Through my work experience I have learned that it is key to listen to what a person is saying and filter through the emotion in time of hardship and crisis. As a Foster/adoptive/Kinship caregiver, dealing with some of the same crisis in my home; I have learned the holes and agendas in our mental health system and Child welfare system. At times they are life altering and tear down family that are intact and have opened their homes and lives for others.
