Completion and Well intervention engineer - Project management - Global Executive MBA

With sixteen years experience working for both oil services companies and operators as slickline supervisor, well services superintendent or well services engineer, I have worked on several well projects from workovers on High Pressure/ High Temperature (HPHT) wells to Medium Radius Side Track (MRST) campaigns. With these years of operations behind me, I’m competent for any well completion or intervention project, either as engineer or supervisor and highly open to opportunities in asset management, services management.

May 2017 – Present GABON ASSALA ENERGY(contract) Site supervisor - Company man on 400 Klbs HWOU

April 2017 – May 2019 (External contract on rotational basis 6/6 weeks) Perenco CONGO Site supervisor (Company man), Pointe-noire, Congo, with hydraulic workover unit

2013 – 2017 (External contract on rotational basis 4/4weeks) TOTAL E&P CONGO Site supervisor (Company man), Pointe-noire, Congo, with a 460 klbs hydraulic workover unit

Supervised two MRST (Re-entry) projects: Pulling unit in drilling configuration, objective was to pull out old completions, run a whipstock at about 1000m, mill a window in 7 5/8” casing and drill a 400m drain to the new reservoir. Wells completed with 3 ” stand alone screens and Quantum packer in the lower completion, then electrical submersible pump in the upper completion. Achievements: Managed these challenging operations with 20% extra time, NPT 10%. And about 10% above the budget 4 times less expensive than a normal rig.

Supervised several work over projects on ESP wells and gaslift ESP conversion. Achievements: Succeed to manage these operations within time & budget –NPT 5%. No LTI.

PERENCO CAMEROON WELL SERVICES ENGINEER (APRIL 2011 - APRIL 2013)

In charge of the Well Services Group (one engineer and two supervisors in office), 10 to 25 persons for the remote crews (slickline, stimulation, coiled tubing, wellhead maintenance).

Budget from 5 to 10MUSD / year, 99% of operations achieved for about 10000 bbls/d oil recovery per year.

Worked with the completion group for designing new wells & work overs.

Prepared and supervised on site as Company man, coiled tubing campaigns on catenary mode for sand clean out, running thru tubing screens, fishing, and stimulation: succeed to recover about 5000 bbls/days under several constraints, NPT 10%.

In charge of special projects for production enhancement as Kinley tubing punch for gaslift purpose, under packer perforations, stimulation campaigns and work over preparation with pulling unit.

Transversal liaise with production and well Performance teams. Budget elaboration and cost follow up.

Launched call for tenders for well services (slickline, wellhead and pumping): 10MUSD/year contract.

TOTAL E&P CAMEROON WELL SERVICES SUPERINTENDENT (09/ 2008 – 04/2011)

Managed and supervised three slickline crews working on jackets and rigs, well head maintenance and pumping crews for 150 open wells on 30 different jackets. Member of the well performance team.

Prepared and supervised coiled tubing campaigns with SEWOP (Self Elevating Work Over Platform) for sand clean out, running thru tubing screens and stimulation.

Prepared operation budget and cost follow up of daily operations and completion of new wells.

Succeed to reduce slickline crews non-productive time (NPT) from 25% to 12% in two years

Challenged contractors for well services operations versus contract, saving additional costs (up to 500k$/year).

Wrote well services procedures to standardize and improve well services activities.

Wrote technical paper to highlight lessons learnt with Kinley tubing punch.

Training of production operators on well intervention principles

HALLIBURTON TECHNOLOGIST & SLICKLINE SUPERVISOR (2005 – 2008)

Performed well interventions on rigs (completion phase) and platforms: Plugs setting and retrieval, downhole safety valves change out, gas lift valves change out, Downhole pressure and temperature surveys.

Prepared completion equipment for new wells and work overs as per design (assembling, torque, pressure tests and delivery of preparation reports) - Slickline tools maintenance and setting of gas lift valves, Metrowin gauges.

Received several safety awards for active participation in the safety improvement process.

CEGELEC CAMEROON (11/ 2001 – 10/ 2005)

From January 2004 to October 2005 Production department Oil extraction, the treatment and the follow up of wells platform equipment;

From Nov. 2001 to Jan. 2004 Electricity/ Instrumentation department Worked with a crew in charge of the follow up of equipment of the tanker and the production platform (jacket) for electricity & instrumentation, as well as new projects.
