Under the direction of the section manager, I perform data reduction and thorough examination of information of vehicle registration and title applications. I am responsible for processing odometer and other discrepancy applications and/ or process all discrepancy applications that cannot be processed anywhere else within the bureau. This includes defective applications brought in by the public and/or other bureau personnel and managers directed to the DEX staff Office.

At close of each workday applicant is required to remove all registration cards from the printer, lock, registration cards plates and titles. Complete the production security checklist and inventory. Complete the title inventory at close of business day and report and forward monthly report through the CENTRIC system to business manager. Maintain and order the supply of forms, titles, registration plates, and weight decals needed to process applications, upon receipt of order place in appropriate area and update CENTRIC.

Applicant is also required to log and shred all void titles and “M” (mobile home cancellations) stops indicators for the bureau, adding makes to Vehicle make table. Responsible for processing applications for Commonwealth agencies such as General services, Penn Dot Equipment Division, PEMA, Department of Forestry and Pa Turnpike Commission. Prepare titles for the Commonwealth auto auction, add codes to the vehicle record indicating formally a police vehicle. Issue VIN plate replacements and process municipal government, PA and school bus plates. Assist with call center calls that may be forwarded to me as well as customer service calls made from the public.

PENNDOT Bureau of Motor Vehicles DEX unit

Assist supervisor with responsibilities for the production operation of the Data Entry / Examining Unit. Responsibilities include accurately completing reports, recording WID dates, employee hours for regular or overtime, TSO production RMDS and EXCEL spreadsheet reports. Also, responsible for examining and data entering a computer system vehicle title, and or registration applications. This process requires verifying the correctness of name, address, WID number, insurance, plate and tag information, signatures, lien, notarization, tax liability,

Authenticity of document and other elements that ensure accuracy. Other duties include assigning and reviewing work, resolving work problems. Determining assigning work priorities; providing training for one or more employees all as a fulltime or continuing assignment. Perform quality check of motor vehicle records entered by employees for accuracy. Ensuring that employee assigned to work for the unit maintain a minimum production standard of 21 applications per hour with an error rate of 2% or less. Assume the duties of the supervisor in their absences, which includes the approval of leave and the continuation of any disciplinary actions.

PENNDOT Bureau of Motor Vehicles Messenger Services

Duties include providing driver license and vehicle registration products by way of Messenger Services. These duties include discrepancy applications that require the correction of vehicle of record due to employee error. Provide information on complex problems to the messengers at the counter. Collect fees submitted by check, money order or cash. Processing of driver license and vehicle registration products at the customer service counter and other related duties as assigned. Other duties include processing of imported vehicles. Import vehicle process may consist of contact with messenger’s dealers or customers who may have questions about the import vehicle process. This process also includes contact with customs agents and The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration about changes that may occur that must do with the import procedures

PENNDOT Bureau of Motor Vehicles Contract Awards

This position is responsible for assemble of contract documents and physical awarding of certain projects with minimal supervision and guidance from supervisor. Assist with the review of bid submissions and completes the final stages of the execution process. This position also includes answering phones, providing bid results and inquiries. Report directly to the Contract Awards Section manager. This job involves working closely with the Central Office Bureaus, FHWA, contractor, district and various outside agencies. Attend and assist with bid openings. Review is required to determine bidder’s compliance with the technical bid requirement and issue proposal agendas. Duties also include guiding bidders through electronic bidding process.

Special skill and Training

Self defense and Aerobics instructor 7th degree black belt. Twenty years of training. Certified electronic technician graduate of Thompson Institute. PC builder and software installer.

Currently doing volunteer work at the Dauphin County Prison. I have been a volunteer there for that past 7 years. Prison Ministry program.

Completed the Pa Asbestos Certification on June 21, 2019, to become an inspector.
