I am continuing my education to obtain my Associates in Business Management that is on schedule to be completed in December of 2023. I have worked in In-patient, Out-patient, Chemotherapy & most recently Narcotics. I compound IV medications, complete inspection reports, file patient data & conduct Narcotic counts. I work with Omnicell, Baxa, VISTA, Excel, Word & CPRS. I implemented & drafted training documents for incoming staff. I also drafted emails for senior management to help with their time management.
I worked strictly within the In-patient setting fulfilling all drug orders in ranges from compounding to packaging medications. I ordered medications and supplies from many vendors. I worked with Baxa, Pyxis, Accudose, Meditech, & Excel. I optimized medication dosing systems & helped with transitioning to new systems. I worked full time until 8/2013 & then became PRN for the remainder of my time.
At Sam’s Club I did it all literally. Only one full time tech was employed and that was me. I filled, ordered, expired & returned medications. I did all miscellaneous task from visiting doctors offices, getting lunch, making schedules, organizing & filing as well as anything else required of me. I kept all my computer based training & continuing education us to date & was the Pharmacists go to person. I was full time until 7/2008 & then PRN.
Personal Summary: I am pursuing a career in Human Resource Management and Recruiting. I have become well versed in the operations of an HR department from my education at Eastern Gateway Community College. I have also been involved in interviewing and hiring new staff for the Pharmacy at the Veterans Hospital in Richmond. In addition, am a versatile and efficient nationally certified pharmacy technician who is very organized, great with numbers, budgeting and am extremely proficient at multi-tasking. I am a leader as my co-workers look to me for answers and guidance daily. I stay up to date on policies and continue to expand my knowledge on the equipment that I work with as I trouble shoot technical issues every day. I complete all my mandatory training and continuing education on time, keep all of my certifications in good standing and I am ready to tackle any project that my supervisors wish me to complete. I stay on task, am self-motivated and punctual as I want nothing more than to end the day with a job well done.

In Closing:
Having worked in multiple hospital systems and in one retail setting I am flexible in learning new tasks and am very teachable. I am looking to broaden my horizon and knowledge base in many different fields outside of pharmacy. I do have personal experience in business as my husband started his own business and I helped greatly hire staff, manage payroll, create purchase orders and train staff. I work hard to succeed in anything I do, and I strive to be as prepared as I possibly can, which my current coworkers can attest to. I have recently acquired my Human Resource Management Certification which has greatly expounded my understanding of the functions within any company. I am on track to complete my Associates in Business Management in December of 2023. Thank you for your consideration!
