Enhanced my education at Wake Forest University by obtaining a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences. The Wake Forest Master of Science program in Biomedical Science offers a pre-health pathway, ideal for students who seek to enhance their current biomedical knowledge base through the completion of graduate level coursework in a School of Medicine environment as preparatory for admission into medical (MD/DO) or physician assistant (PA) programs. I entered Winston Salem State University to learn. As I matriculated through my Undergraduate experience, I served my Alma mater in various ways. Neuroscience research was conducted at the University of California at Los Angeles with Dr. Michelle Basso, where I studied the behavior of 57-B mice. Two sets of mice were utilized in this experiment, one set fixed mice and the other freely moving mice. Both sets of mice responded to a random dot kinematogram stimulus by touch a block or turning a wheel. Results were recorded using MATLAB and Abet II. Performed research with Dr. Lynn Millar in a Biomechanics lab to examine the peak torques and positions of the hip during a half swing versus a full golf swing. Response Measured Height and Weight, Marker Placement, Static Calibration functional calibration, Full swing with Motion Capture, Perceived Half-Swing with Motion Capture, Set up rope barrier according to half-swing analysis, Measured Half-Swing with Motion Capture.2018 This research was published in the Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise, Volume 51:5 Supplement. 2019
