Role and Responsibilities:

Working as a Indirect Buyer at MAHLE BEHR India Pvt. Ltd since July 2015 (Thermal Systems), and Purchase Executive at Delphi Automotive Systems Pvt Ltd since July 2009 and handled all the indirect purchase activities for Thermal division.

Rich and extensive working experience in Supply Chain Management in Automotive Industry handling Indirect Materials.

Strategic Sourcing specialist for Commodity and Indirect Materials.

My responsibilities include following:

Maintains optimum inventory levels ensuring on-time deliveries while minimizing carrying costs and transportation charges.

Oversee purchasing and/or contracting for materials and supplies for the operation of the Company, as well as all inventory items.

Review purchase history for opportunities to consolidate suppliers and drive more sourcing through preferred suppliers.

Prepare and oversee purchase order to ensure accurate entitlement reporting, verify invoices and confirm the receipt of goods/services.

Handles purchasing, inventory maintenance, asset distribution, reporting, spare equipment repair, shipping and receiving, price comparison, matching audit resolution, product evaluation and quality tracking.

Request for Quote/Proposal in support of company 3 bids policy Engage suppliers in direct contract negotiations pertaining to pricing, service levels, terms and conditions.

Responsible for processing/ managing purchase orders and contract, lead-time reduction, resolving supplier delivery issues, and resolving discrepant material issues for both MRO and manufacturing inventories.

Responsible for planning, developing and buying materials, parts, supplies and equipment in a timely and cost-effective way; timely manner while maintaining appropriate quality standards and specifications.

Works with the requesting department and Finance team when specific sources or items are requested. Must adhere to internal policies and system requirements. Investigates and solves problems resulting from material issues and shortages.

Establishes/maintains procedures and supervises the annual physical inventory. This includes the taking and valuing of the Fiscal year-end physical inventory.

Works with other departments in planning, scheduling and ordering to meet sales forecasts.

Responsible for sourcing and exploring new materials, options, vendors and processes to achieve the highest possible quality, reliability and delivery.

Ensures that the company standard practices and procedures are followed in connection with materials/purchasing department functions.

Worked with Engineering, Planning and Logistics for the timely release of orders to the supplier Create purchase requisitions and purchase orders for accuracy and conformance with established policies and procedures Planning and control of production schedules per MRP requirements and implementation of supply plan for reclaimed materials.
