Partners with national and international clients on all packaging -- BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Ford, Volvo, VW, FCA, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Lucid, Rivian, Tesla and GM.
Managing all packaging related aspects to all new projects.
Creation of packaging for new projects with customer and internally with packaging suppliers.
Maintains communication with customers on improvements and changes in packaging during current and after markets sales.
Accountable for all aspects of packaging inventory management, loading and unloading processes, and customer/supplier packaging organization.
Logistics responsibilities include analysis of shipping and receiving packaging flow.
Teams with Logistics to conceptualize new package/container options
Forecasts any needs to ensure production lot sizes can be met.
Verifies shipping information for packaging against Advanced Shipping Notice (or ASN).
Monitors and updates pack instructions daily.
Maintains internal system (SAP) for accuracy and updates
Served as forklift team supervisor for Rochling Duncan for over 2 years.
Books company assets and orders production, WIP and expendable packaging.
Responsible for preparing quotes for procurement for pre-series, series and service packaging requirements.
Ensuring pre-series, primary, secondary and service packaging instructions are created and/or updated for production purposes
Creates Loop calculations for the Request for Quote team – Needed items: CIF file and all DIS numbers to estimate packaging design and costs.
Works with Sales – reviews the information and may ask for changes to provide a competitive quote. After being awarded the new business this is given to Project Management, also reviewing information from past projects and correcting any mistakes in pricing.
Acquiring a sample container for initial production runs and PPAP
Gaining approval from the Customer and Sub Suppliers after reviewing the packaging and gain all ISTA certifications
Creating the proper documents (PDS – Packaging Data Sheet) for the customer and updating each perspective portal
Creating alternate expendable shipping packaging for series, service and if needed export. – This should involve Internal Sales to gain/agree on approvals.
