Quality Engineer Automotive parts assembly (inductive and mig welding)
●Hired as a Quality Engineer to develop floor inspection processes, inspectors and procedures.
●Developed and implemented inspection and shipping procedures with a standardization of visual inspection and labeling procedures, which reduced shipping errors and quality issues.
●Responsible for “Quality Wall” presentations at General Motors GMCCA operations center. All presentations were in support of eliminating future quality issues. This included 8D problem solving, Fish Bone analysis, 5Why, and visual aids.
●Prepared quality material for PPAP presentations including dimensional evidence, and presented the production process to our GM Supplier Quality Engineer. All Dimensional information was obtained from part prints.
●Created format and training material for quality training and new employee orientation
●My responsibilities included all quality activities in support of TS16949 including internal auditing
●Also responsible for all quality activities presented at weekly production staff meetings.
●Responsible for contacting suppliers to submit data for compiling all information for IMDS (International Material Data System) submitted to General Motors Service Division.
●Involved in several Continuous Improvement programs such as material inventory control process, and the development of our robotic assembly cell, including developing the quality objectives for this cell.

●Employed with AP Parts as a Production Supervisor in several departments.
●Primarily dealing with welding and fabrication and assembly of exhaust systems.
●I have gained experience with ASEA Robots (both manipulating and welding).
●I also have experience with both Eagle and Eaton Leonard automated Tube Benders and various tubes forming and cut-off equipment.
●I have had up to 33 employees under my direct supervision and accountable for both production and production indicators, (i.e. Scrap, labor reports, utilization, etc.) in my department.
●June of 1995 promoted to the position of General Foreman and became directly responsible for our Inductive Welded Tube Mill on 2nd shift.
●I gained knowledge in tube mill set-up production process and procedure including changeovers from several different diameter tubes, material and gauges of steel.
●Due to reduction of production from our mill I was asked to supervise a newly created department for a new exhaust system and became directly related to this product launch.
●I gained limited knowledge on laser welding technology and newer tube processing equipment.
●Also during my time with AP we received QS9000 certification and have ascertained the knowledge and requirements associated with this certification.

Supervisor/Quality Control Inspector
●Hired into the Packaging department (shipping and receiving), familiar with “Sta-Pak” foam-in-place packaging systems and plastic stretch-wrap equipment.
●Assure all required product was shipped on a daily basis, prepare bills of lading and export papers for shipment, responsible for packaging and shipment of all service related items.
●Assemble and test products in Final Assembly Testing departments.
●Gained knowledge of welding and robotic welding during temporary assignments in Welding department.
●Supervise twenty-four people; insure quality and productivity on current production.
●Complete production reports.
●Capable of reading blueprints.
●Involved in value analysis program used to determine factors of controlling indirect labor possibilities of maintaining present production levels with less manpower and evaluating the plant layout.

Shift Supervisor
●Hired as a Quality control Inspector, performed general product inspection, used vernier calipers, outer diameter tape, inner diameter pin gauge, chatillon tester and tape measures, read simplified blueprints of various rubber products, measured product from extrusion stage through curing and finished product, completed quality audits prior to release for shipment to the customer.
●Moved to Maintenance Clerk position due to production release and downsizing, ordered and stocked for the maintenance storeroom, placed calls to various equipment suppliers, wrote requisition for these parts, kept records of hours worked for the maintenance department.
●Returned to Quality Control department, placed on special projects running capability tests on various products and equipment.
●Promoted to Production Supervisor, ensured quality and productivity on current production, directed fifteen employees, completed daily production reports.
●Experienced with statistical controls, offered and implemented several new or improved methods of production. Also responsible for small supply inventory and ordering. Acquired new suppliers, which in turn lowered purchasing expenses.
●Instrumental in organizing monthly meetings with engineering staff to discuss problem areas and possible resolutions, established good working rapport with employees which reciprocated in lowered lost time and rejections.
