I am Quetzaly Fonseca, a current college student at Chaffey College. I am an Engineering major and I will be transferring to a four year university next year with an Associate's degree in Engineering. I aspire to become a Civil Engineer or an Environmental Engineer. I am also considering Geological Engineering since previously I was a Geological Science major. I love math and science. In the long run, I dream to become a teacher and college professor; I want to share my passion through teaching. I want to inspire and motivate students in the STEM field. I want to promote a love for the STEM field in all students. I have a dream and nothing is going to stop me. I currently attend school and work. I go to the gym on my free time, enjoy music and get my school work done. I love sports, specially soccer. I am hardworking and ambitious. I love that I am bilingual because I have the ability to help others in their own language (English/Spanish). I am currently learning French on my own time. I know very little but I do know the basics. I am detail-oriented and analytical with excellent problem-solving skills in my surroundings. I absolutely love helping others, I feel joy when I know I have made a positive difference for someone/people. Social and emotional growth is important to me, I encourage it. I definitely love attaining new knowledge, I am always up for learning and developing new things.

I was an Assistant Teacher for grades 4th-6th. I mostly assisted on math and language arts based activities. Overall, I was there helping throughout the whole day during their school hours. I worked in small groups with students who had autism, mental disorders, IEP, and other specialized instruction. I worked as an after-school teacher in the school's after-school program. I took care of tutoring and homework. The tutoring was based on their current academics for the week along with curriculum I integrated for extra practice based on what the students were learning that week. Tutored mathematics from grades 3rd to 8th. Created curriculum in order for students to understand math better, helped with their homework and prepare them for exams. Also helped students with other subjects such as English, Science, History, etc. I was able to help students who's first language was not English, in most cases, Spanish. Other than helping students in their educational grow, we helped encounter social and emotional growth as well.
