During large events, we handled all security logistics for the event.

● In 2011, at the request of the Daimler Board of Executives, we and several of our personnel deployed to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, after a tornado touched down and caused extensive, widespread destruction. Daimler has a production plant there in Tuscaloosa, and several of their employees were unaccounted for after the tornado. ● In 2013, I was directly asked by the Chief of Police to help build a Tactical Medic program for the Fort Worth Police Department from the ground up. I was later appointed the Team Leader and acting Corporal for a ten-person team of tactically trained police officers that were cross-trained as paramedics.

● I was responsible for obtaining and overseeing the Texas State licensure as the

“Administrator” for the First Responder Organization (FRO) license with the Texas Department of State Health Services.

● I obtained and negotiated medical protocols and contract stipulations with the Emergency Physicians Advisory Board (EPAB), who are the physicians responsible for medical protocol direction and oversight.

● I was responsible and oversaw medical equipment orders, purchase orders, and equipment issuance to all personnel. The equipment issuance included tactical trauma bags that were deployed to all 1,700 personnel on the Fort Worth Police Department. I oversaw tactical equipment orders/purchase, issuance, and resupply.

● I was responsible for designing, implementing, and teaching a trauma first aid class for all 1,700 officers on the Fort Worth Police Department. This class taught all sworn personnel how to treat traumatic injuries such as gunshot wounds, stab wounds, amputated and partially amputated limbs, airway management, treatment for shock and environmental emergencies, such as heat stroke and hypothermia. I also taught CPR/AED classes to all sworn officers.

● The above-listed trauma first aid class and the trauma bags that were issued accounted for saving three police officers' lives and 33 civilians. All civilians were treated for various types of traumatic injuries, ranging from gunshot wounds to vehicle accidents.

● I was responsible for designing, implementing, and teaching all sworn personnel on how to administer a drug called Naloxone or Narcan. This medication is a life- saving medication to anyone who has overdosed on any opioid narcotics such as Heroin. I was also responsible for the purchasing of the Narcan medication and the development of a plan for disbursement department-wide.

● I coordinated daily with personnel on my team for scheduling on-call duties, daily assignments, and responses for all tactical operations with SWAT and SRT.

● I lead the team of tactical medics through several highly stressful and high profile incidents to include: officers that were shot and pinned down by barricade and armed suspects, treatment of innocent civilians who were sick or injured but unable to leave their current location due to an ongoing major police incident October 2015-March 2016

and I coordinated the teams deployment during rioting incidents where medics were dispersed with multiple law enforcement elements to ensure safety of all personnel and civilians.

● As one of the first two tactical paramedics in the department, I was on call 24/7 and handled approximately 250 tactical operations a year. Every year the number of operations increased. I have personally been on and responded to well over a thousand tactical operations. This includes Barricaded Persons, Hostage Rescues, Search Warrant and Arrest Warrant execution, Officer Down responses, and large scale violent protests. I have treated an unknown number of injured suspects, witnesses, and officers. This ranges from minor injuries to gunshot wounds.

● I have worked closely with multiple law enforcement elements and agencies: Fort Worth PD’s SWAT Team, Fort Worth Narcotics Section, State Police Narcotics, Fort Worth Intelligence Unit, Fort Worth Electronic Surveillance Unit, Fort Worth PD and US Marshals Fugitive Task Force, FBI, DEA, ICE, Customs and Border Patrol and NCIS. I have also worked with, trained with, and assisted the Department of Defense Special Operations Units.

● In 2017, I helped contribute to an article written by Dr. Kegan Bradley, MD. The article was later published in the Journal of Law Enforcement. Tactical: Special Response Team 4 (SRT)
