Medcenter One School of Science/University of Mary (Bismarck, ND graduated May 2000) achieved a 3.8 GPA and held a tutoring job for the sciences of the school. Attended the school through an academic scholarship. Hired as a Medical Laboratory Technician upon completion of internship and passing of required certification test (testing score fell in the top achieved of that year).

Was a very intense, concentrated program. Gained much knowledge of the workings of a hospital/clinic setting and healthcare services, from patient relations to insurance and billing.

Field Interviewer-Raleigh, NC July 2016-July2017

Accumulated information and answers from a selected group of individuals for a federal government campaign. The individuals were minors, so had to gain permission from the primary care giver first.

Organized and efficient setting of appointments with the selected list provided to ensure the travel was used to gain as many interviews as possible. Upon arrival I was required to set up a private interview area, ready the issued equipment for data collection and transmission, communicate and provide all necessary information concerning their rights, then collect the data as required by established government regulations and transmit it to the proper areas.

Required to travel, train, and pass required testing as needed by a particular campaign.

Being able to adapt to any situation encountered to ensure the candidate and the consenting adult were comfortable with me, as the campaign required numerous interviews over a given period.

Communicating with immediate supervisor of progress made, problems encountered, and plan moving forward to ensure all interviews and data collected were properly reported before deadline was reach.

Adhering to good driving practices, as the travel required often times took place over the winter months and travel conditions were ever changing and frequently treacherous.

I was a proud member of National Honor Society and was a top ten graduate of my high school class. I entered college on an academic scholarship and was able to use my gained knowledge and skills to help tutor numerous students in the various science courses of the school. I applied and was accepted in to a laboratory science program offered through a local healthcare facility. Upon completion and certification, I was able gain a rewarding experience through hard-work, goal achievements, and advancement within the department. In the various departments, I was approached to organize various events, including numerous blood drives, and help in the training of new hires and interns. I also set up a recycling program, as I have a great passion for doing all we can for environmental preservation. I feel the knowledge and experience gained during this juncture of life will benefit me throughout my years.

I believe in treating people with respect and decency. Treat people well and you get what you give. Luckily, my brother and I were raised in a loving family by two parents who set an example I can only pray to replicate by half, but I strive to achieve. Everyday I live to set an example for my two boys that they too can be proud of.
