Junior School & Sports Complex for Qatar Academy, Doha, Qatar - Qatar foundation for education, science and community development – junior school, (boys and girls) cafeteria and sports facilities. The area of the building is about 110,000 m2. The cost of the project is about Qr.280million. The scheme covering accommodates Classrooms, activity areas, library, multi-purpose hall and administrative offices over two floors. At the heart of the centre is a roofed courtyard that exploits the Transparency and lightness of modern materials, viz glass, allowing natural light to permeate all floors. At the main entrance the building creating a public walking space, which opens into the landscaped area. This curved space is expressed as veil wrapped around the main heart of the centre.
