Mainframe TESTER (Oct’09-Mar’13)

Performance guarantee Expansion is a complete Mainframe/ETL data validation project. It integrates different sets of data, where the dimension data is being pulled from CRDM & EDWARD databases which are present in Mainframe/Teradata environment. The FACT data is present in PGE Data Mart which is in DB2 environment. Post this, complete historical data is stored in SUMMARY tables and based on the business logic the data is populated to Dashboard Analytical tables by grouping accordingly. The reports are developed on top of this repository having BOT Client Definition tables as reference to categorize the data into ‘At Risk’ & ‘Not At Risk’

Responsibilities:

Analysed the requirements and design documents as well understanding the functionality of both source and target systems.

Prepared understanding documents and queries.

Involved in Requirement analysis in support of Data Warehousing efforts along with Business Analyst and working with the QA Team in Waterfall methodology.

Performed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) in the initial phase of the project proceedings to eliminate the foreseen data issues & prepared test scenarios emphasizing on the same.

Extensively worked on Informatica Mappings validations against Business Requirements.

Extracted flat files from Mainframe and validated

Developed SQL Queries for executing the test cases along with test data.

Worked on with Development team to configure the Test Environments.

Execution of System test cases alongside by validating the Online Screen/Mappings & Workflows by closely interpreting the business domain.

Evaluated the report front data by writing free hand SQL based on the pseudo code given as a reference by the concerned Business Analyst.

Joined in Daily and Weekly Status reporting calls.
