Worked with a variety of ventilators, airway, and vent-management, burn patients, modes including APRV,the oscillator, nitric oxide,or veletri, heliox, also an abundance of ABG’s EKG’s bedside PFT’s patient assessments. Followed protocols pulmonary rounds with physicians always part of code blue team assisted with intubations inserted many king Airways on floor.I was chosen to be a preceptor for new Resp students and new Resp. employee’s and new RN’s as well for all area’s.

Worked with speech and P.T. goal to get pt up and around off vent eating drinking speaking again. Resp is always educating all new employee’s patients and patient/family’s. Part of code team pulmonary rounds ABG’s Ekg’s bedside PFT’s. Assisted Thoracic surgeon with insertion of trach at bedside. RT’s did insert airways (ET tube) during a code. Respiratory assessed all Patients regardless of diagnosis.

Was a charge Respiratory Therapist on night shift did assignments for my and next shift, did staffing, was responsible for the people RT’s on my shift. from 2000-2007 helped write and follow protocols airway/vent management Dr.rounds part of code team assisting with intubations. Did patient assessments educating new RT’s RN’s in all area’s of hospital. Also educated patients and patients family’s. Where I learned great assessment skills from the RT’s that were my preceptors in the beginning of my employment at Bronson
