My objective is to secure employment with a company who employs and appreciates conscientious and well-seasoned staff carrying with them many years of diverse work experience.

Legal Secretary/Assistant/Paralegal

Elayne Scott Associates

Philadelphia, PA

(1994 - 2014)

I worked for this premier legal staffing agency located in Center City, Philadelphia intermittently for 20 years. I was placed at law firms throughout the City of Philadelphia and the Main Line. I provided legal administrative support including, but not limited to, transcription, drafting, editing, finalizing, and E-filing pleadings, maintaining attorney time management/billing, implementing and maintaining diary systems for case management purposes, responsive pleadings and discovery. I would also prepare and file individual and corporate tax returns.

Executive Legal Assistant/Paralegal

WolfBlock LLP

Philadelphia, PA

(1998 - 2009)

I was assigned to provide legal support services to a Senior Partner and an Associate in the Private Client Services Group (Estates & Trust Administration Department). Some of my duties included scheduling and participating in client estate planning preparation/execution meetings, maintaining calendars, partner and paralegal (self) billing, drafting and editing estate planning documents, managing estate planning documents in the firm’s will vault, estate administration, and being the conduit between our clients and my assigned attorneys.

Executive Legal Secretary II

Hahnemann University Hospital

Philadelphia, PA

(1991 - 1997)

I provided executive legal secretary support to the Deputy Counsel and two (2) Associate University Counsellors in the Office of University Counsel. My duties included, but certainly were not limited to: transcription, preparation, editing, and filing of pleadings and discover; maintaining diary systems for the response of pleadings and discovery; monitoring communication(s) and being the conduit between outside counsel and our department; management of the calendars of my three (3) assigned attorneys; maintenance of the Hospital’s case, contracts, forms, and reference files, as well as the law library. I managed the Department’s conference room, switchboard, and office supplies. My greatest accomplishment there was being tasked with revamping, reformatting and maintaining the Hospital’s Policy and Procedure Manual. The department ran like a small law firm with an extensive and diverse practice. There was never a job too large or minute. One moment, I would be rushing to City Hall with a life-saving guardianship petition filing, and the next I would be conducting legal research on Westlaw and/or Lexis/Nexis.
