OBJECTIVE: To become identified with a financially sound basic materials or heavy industrial company such cement, aggregates or other mining related industry. I have 30 plus years experience in maintenance management within the cement, lime, phosphate, aggregates and concrete products industries.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: I have been a maintenance supervisor, maintenance planner, mobile equipment repair supervisor, maintenance manager and a plant manager. I have experience with chemical processing plants utilizing phosphoric acid, hydrofluoric acid, caustic soda, potash and similar products. Some of the equipment I am familiar with are all types of conveyors, belt, screw, bucket elevators, rotary kilns, ball mills, roller mills from small to the largest made. Pan conveyors, vibrating pan conveyors, vibrating screens, hammermills, rotary bar impactors, gyratory and cone crushers to name a few. I am familiar with CMMS systems, J.D. Edwards One World and SAP.

6/1/2021 - Present - Austin Industrial, International Paper, Selma, AL. Maintenance Planner/Scheduler. Maintain work schedule and work orders for multi craft crews. Staff of 72 people.

9/1/2020 - 6/1/2021 - Did not work due to wife’s illness had several surgeries.

4/1/2019 to 9/1/2020 – CEMEX, Lyons, CO. Maintenance Planner in charge of daily maintenance planning activities.

7/1/2014 to 4/1/2019 – took early retirement to care for wife terminally ill with cancer.

9/1/1997 to 7/1/2014 – National Cement Co., Ragland, AL. I was maintenance supervisor and maintenance planner. I alaso supervised the machine shop and mobile equipment shops during this time. I was acting maintenance manager in the maintenance manager’s absence. I also supervised the storeroom for about 2 years.I established the plant lubrication program which is still in effect today.

9/1/1994 to 9/1/1997 – Whimpey Minerals, Annville, PA. Maintenance Manager. I was responsible for all plant mechanical, electrical and mobile equipment maintenance activities. This was a 3 million ton per year aggregate quarry and 5 kiln lime plant operation.

9/1/1992 to 9/1/1994 – Paver Systems, Orlando, FL. – Plant Manager – I was responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of a 15,000 sq. ft. concrete paving stone plant. I was also responsible for all logistical movement of our products throughout the southeastern United States.

9/1/1982 to 9/1/1992 – Amax Chemical Corp., Plant City, FL. – Maintenance Manager – I was responsible for a staff of 50 people. 40 hourly and 10 salaried along with 2 engineers, Established a pm program that included lubrication and CMMS. I was able to move the facility maintenance activities from reactive to predictive maintenance practices.
