The Wisconsin Food Hub Cooperative, a farmer-led
business initiative, started in 2012 with two employees and a budget of $60K. The Hub’s on-going mission is to transition the traditional Wisconsin farmer’s model from independent cannery growers into a powerful
coalition of farms servicing national accounts with farm to table products of the highest quality. The Sales, Operations and Logistics Manager role has been the driving force in educating and managing the original ten “anchor farms,” growing membership to over a hundred farms, championing food safety and quality, building a strong coalition of national accounts for both organic and conventional products, and creating from scratch a robust supply and warehousing chain to support a rapidly growing organization. The client base has grown significantly to include several of the largest grocery chains, distributors, produce and food-service companies in the world, with Hub sales growing by over 100% each year.
