District Hub & Feeder Manager - Nashville, TN (Regional Director level) – 08/2017 – present

Responsible for developing and driving the Transportation KPI for the district which consist of 6 states in the Southern Region of the country. Leading a team of twelve Division level Managers supporting 6567 employees and 837 managers and supervisors. Supporting and providing guidance to division level managers on the day-to-day hub and feeder operations and also drive safety, service and cost results. Develop and implement performance management goals and strategies that align with the Corporate and Zone Committed Service Index. Review district hub and feeder operations cost statements to ensure operational expenditures are in-line with planned budget.

Identify individual and team skills gaps and development opportunities and implement action plans through training, special assignment, and projects.

Key Accomplishments and Achievements

Successfully on boarded a new Automated facility

Analyzed and implemented safety initiatives to improve employee injuries and also reduce auto accidents that resulted in a reduction of Health and welfare cost by approximately 4 million.

Dismantled 3 operations that save the organization 11 million in annual savings.

Hub & Feeder Division Manager - Memphis, TN (Director level) – 06/2015 – 08/2017

Responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the West Tennessee hub operation in the district which consisted of 3 facilities developing both long- and short-term operating plans to achieve safety, service and cost results: while supporting 5 managers 90 supervisors and 1235 employees. Providing leadership, direction, communication, as well as training and follow up to both people and KPI elements in the division.

Identified and implemented cost saving strategies and provided feedback to appropriate levels within the organization. Conducted head-to-head meetings and monthly business plan reviews to identify and address performance issues.

Partnered with District Health & Safety team to ensure the implementation and daily maintenance of a comprehensive safety plan.

Participated in Safety activities and oversaw audits and safety documentation to ensure operations were in compliance with UPS, local, state, and federal guidelines (OSHA, DOT, EPA).

Led a team of 5 Hub supervisors supporting a operation of 350 employees in an automated facility, responsible for the sortation and loading activities within the building. Managed the day-to-day operation ensuring packages were sorted accurately onto appropriate trailers for movement to next location.

Reviewed volume projections for load forecast plans and developed appropriate staffing plans to run the operation productively reducing service defects. Met with union representatives to improve employee relations and minimize grievances from contract violations. Served a Co-Chairperson for the Comprehensive Health and Safety Process (CHSP) Committee to ensure committed processes were in place to reduce accidents and injuries. Regularly reviewing training to ensure compliance with UPS and regulatory training requirements
