Oversee the successful operations of the Western Region. This includes offices in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Oakland.

Essential Duties and Position Responsibilities:

Reports to the President & CEO on a day-to-day basis. Reports to Clinical Operations Vice President in relation to mobile collections. Coordinates, plans and participates in off-site collections as required. Assists in the management of clinical supplies required to conduct study protocols. Reports safety issues, patient care issues, and study design and/or study conduct issues. Assists with the preparation of safety, interim and final study final reports, and resolution of data discrepancies. Performs day-to-day tasks for collection and processing of specimens. Assists with planning, scheduling, and carrying out of day-to-day clinical activities and procedures; ensuring efficient workflow and adequate care of research subjects. Ensures that all clinical activities are carried out in accordance with the established research protocol and standards and in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedural requirements. Coordinates the recruitment of patient research subjects. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Uses the DPMSS according to the position requirements. Performs a variety of routine blood drawing procedures including venipuncture, using standard equipment such as vacutainer tubes and sleeves, tourniquets, syringes, and butterfly needles. Interacts directly with patient to obtain information for lab records, explains procedures, and elicits cooperation. Processes, labels, and stores blood samples for inventory, subsequent analysis and/or shipping as required. Performs inventory keeping and reports quantity of pertinent collection and processing supplies. Performs various quality control procedures to maintain compliance with internal and external regulations. Cleans and maintains processing laboratory work area and equipment according to procedural guidelines. Stays abreast of training covering all pertinent SOPs and any regulatory requirements. Follow and comply with all Safety policies.
