Innovation, Project and Technology Oversight, Merger and Acquisition (M&A) Leadership

During the over seven years I was Director, I oversaw efforts that enabled: o MultiPlan to take claim charges received from customers from approximately $70 billion to $106 billion. Over the same period, we increased savings processed by our programs from approximately $12 billion to approximately $19 billion while simultaneously making our business highly scalable. o In 2011 we acquired National Care Network (NCN) to help fuel our analytics growth, taking it from a company with revenues of about $23 million to a $324 million product line in only seven years, about a 46% annual growth rate. o We acquired Medical Audit & Review Solutions (MARS) in 2014 to enter the payment integrity market and grew it from a $2 million business to an over $100 million product line in only five years, a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of approximately 135%.

I led multiple integrations, including MultiPlan and Viant, which brought together the considerable expertise and complementary solutions of both companies to produce the industry's most comprehensive provider of healthcare cost management services. The two companies combined resulted in 85% market share. Previously led 18-month integration of MultiPlan and PHCS (the two companies combined resulted in 65% market share), including redeployment of staff, business process re-engineering and management of systems integration. o Oversaw integration of Operations, IT, Legal, Sales, Marketing, Account Management, Network Development and Human Resources staff, processes and acquired systems. o Led multiple virtual, distributed, matrix teams of 40+ business and technical resources including vendors through significant scope and risk management challenges to deliver numerous inter-related projects on schedule and budget.

Oversaw development of negotiation prioritization tool, a web-based tool using industry benchmarks to reach mutually beneficial cost reductions and manage out-of-network costs. Solution generated $9 million revenue by Year 1. In 2010, all claims were manually negotiated.
