Specific Web services experience [part of PI/XI]: Function modules are created in SAP and defined as
RFC’s (Remote function call) in their attributes. It gets published as Web Service with WSDL on SAP server. The URL is obtained from the BSP Application or from SOA MANAGER. The obtained WSDL contains the methods, data structures and the connection parameters required for Interfacing between systems. There is individual security control on Web Services in WAS620 and are available at same folder on server. External application needs to be provided with Specific User/PW to SAP and this User ID should have S_RFC permission to execute RFC (and consequently BAPI’s) in SAP.
Consequently, we can also generate the XML structure with required parameters out of SAP and call the other system for Interfacing data on real time.
