My name is Troy Bush and I am a UNCW graduate, and former CPCC student, with a major in Creative Writing and a Minor in English. After reading through the responsibilities, I feel that my expertise and experience make me a perfect candidate for this role. I am a talented writer with a strong voice and a keen eye for detail. My highest grades came from my English and Creative Writing classes. In addition to attending multiple Creative Writing and English classes, I read and write at my leisure, and have been doing so since before I was a teenager. Through this, I have gained problem-solving and time management abilities.

I was an intern for American High Studios, a film production group based out of Syracuse, NY. I would read screenplays that were being considered for production and determine their quality. Since graduating UNCW, which is well known for their creative writing program, in 2018 I have written for a variety of industries from real estate sales, to novels, to newspaper articles, to movie scripts, to short stories. I edit all of my own material, and I am quite the perfectionist. Recently, I was a Content Writer for CoStar Group. I would advertise neighborhoods, parks, and schools by writing informative articles that would drive business, appeal to customers’ wants, needs, and interests. Editing and revising was not a requirement of my job but I did it anyway. I don’t believe in turning in something half-finished. I would then write a conversational script that a voiceover artist would read for an advertisement. I am all about quality content, even with the most insignificant things. Not only do I edit and revise something until I feel good about it, but I have several text strings with my family where they make fun of me for using proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation in my responses, jokes, or conversation-starters.
