In a leadership role that spans more than 5 years, I have planned and organized
numerous events and programs for the City of St. Petersburg with proven success. My skillsets include, but are not limited to supervision of a diverse staff, management of daily administrative tasks, budgeting,
marketing, fundraising, booking venues/vendors, networking, and training and development. My biggest strength is being able to quickly streamline current processes, easily see opportunities, and possibilities, all while developing a plan to execute efficiently.
Experience
Recreation Supervisor I - Gladden Park Recreation Center/
Shore Acres Recreation Center
AUGUST 2018-PRESENT
Below is a summarized list of duties and accomplishments I’ve had as a Recreation Supervisor I
-Organizing and coordinating a recreation center by using a customer, facility, and membership registration software called ActiveNet.
-Organizing the participant files, staff files, budget reports, monthly reports, contracts, and other administrative paperwork at a center with over 200 youth participants daily, in addition to the after hour public programs offered.
-Planning and marketing the monthly calendar/newsletter, and proficient in the online graphic design website Canva.
-Monitor the budget for the recreation centers many accounts for purchases throughout the fiscal year, and reporting/uploading receipts into our database for P-Card transactions.
-Supervising a team of over 15 staff members by scheduling, training, and delegating responsibilities. Also responsible for the hiring process/interview for new employees.
-Despite transferring into a recreation center with the lowest attendance/participation in October of 2019, I have since built a quality program that is now considered one of the most involved, and increased attendance by over 75%.
-Raised over $5,000 collectively in 3 years for our recreation center’s trust fund from sponsors and community outreach projects.
-Coordinated numerous citywide and center-wide events and activities with attendance ranging from 10-400 people that have seen proven success
-Responsible for the control of inventory within the facility from janitorial supplies to recreational equipment.

-Assisted supervisor with monthly tasks of participant registration, monthly reports, event/activity planning, parent involvement and community service.
-Organized one of the most successful SWAT (Students Working Against Tobacco) programs in all of Pinellas County.
-Acquired sponsorships for our centers sports programs to pay for sports league uniforms.
-Maintained steady involvement with TASCO sports leagues, events, Tech Camp, and clubs.
-Obtained my CDA certification through P-Tech during the summer of 2018 to become a
SMIC (staff member in charge) within a childcare facility.
-Named acting supervisor from July of 2018-October of 2018.

Notable Assignments and Projects
Coordinated a fundraiser with a new local restaurant for their grand opening in May of 2018 which led to our program raising over $650 towards equipment and uniforms for our youth sports teams.
Assisted in the planning and development of the parks and recreation Youth Development Worker trainings from 2019-present.
Successfully transitioned a middle school program from the former Shore Acres Recreation Center into a temporary location at the Gathering Church. While there, not only was the program found to be more engaged, but we saw a spike in attendance and involvement from our local youth despite not having the same recreational amenities as any other recreational site at the time.
Orchestrated a successful fundraising event at the City of St. Petersburg’s TASCO yard sale by obtaining a sponsorship that donated products which generated over $1400 towards our center’s youth programs.
Assisted with the entire interior design and monitored purchases of furniture/equipment for the newly built Shore Acres Recreation Center from January 2021-February 2022.
