Security Officer
Responsibilities: Monitor all associates, guests, vendors, and visitors to the facility. This officer will ensure that security post procedures are followed and Humana’s policies and procedures are followed.
Areas of responsibilities: Egress of associates, guests, vendors, and visitors, following Humana Print Shop and HIPPA guidelines. Property removals, fire /security rounds, and other duties as assigned. Rounds are to be made per round schedule.
Activity Log: A daily patrol activity log should be completed throughout your shift. The times of patrols, and any unusual activity should be documented.
Property Removal: No property should be removed through any entrance/exit without proper authorization. Any such challenge should be documented with an Incident report, and a Humana occurrence report.
Incident Report: An incident report should be completed anytime any unusual activity occurs. An incident report is your communication tool to Humana management. The report will document the time, date, incident, action taken, who was contacted, the results and conclusion.
Building and Property Patrols: Patrol’s are to be conducted according to the following schedule.
The objective of these patrols is to check outside perimeter security, interior security, and observe any possible safety and security hazards.
Security verifies corporate employee status, issues a visitor badge. Security deactivates Humana associates normal access card. Retrieves temporary card, reactivates Humana associates normal access card.
Verifies the resident vendor’s name is in the log, that the day and hour of access is acceptable and the proper ID card is presented, issues vendor badge.
