Stanford G. Mukasa
SUMMARY
Dr. Stanford Mukasa is a retired associate professor of journalism and mass media studies. He is also a mass media education consultant and specialist in online curriculum design and delivery.
In the 29 years he served as associate professor, Dr. Mukasa chaired the Department of Journalism and Public Relations; search; curriculum, and technology committees. During this period, Dr. Mukasa conducted annual high school journalism workshops for area school districts. For 14 years, Dr. Mukasa designed and delivered distance education instruction to Somalia, The Gambia, Kenya, Uganda, Malawi, Nigeria and Namibia under the UNESCO IPDC, World Bank LICUS and UNDP grants. He also helped capacity building efforts in mass media and journalism education for several universities in Somalia, and successfully secured from UNESCO's IPDC program broadcast equipment for four universities in Somalia. He is currently designing and offering 18 online courses for Africa through the e-LearnAfricaLMS under the auspices of the Association for African Universities.
