Responsibilities:
Project Engineer of VA Hudson Valley Healthcare System for technical and administrative functions of Planning and Construction Projects and any alteration of the entire Health Care System. Provides project planning, cost estimates, construction drawings, specifications, sketches, construction administration, oversees interim life safety measures and construction safety, project closeout, and project activation for construction renovation and maintenance projects.
Serving as resident and program engineer consisting of the planning, design, and overseeing of major healthcare system projects; oversees Professional Architecture/Engineering (A/E) and Construction contracts to ensure the contractor is in compliance with all contractual requirements, healthcare regulations and codes, specifications and schedules are met in accordance with the government's requirements for VA.
Providing engineering support to the assigned healthcare system and responsible for maintaining construction specifications and drawings, maintaining technical reference library of codes, standards, and other regulations which are applicable to the engineering construction industries Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), American National Standards Institute (ANSI), and others. NYC DEP (Department of Environmental Protection) April 2016 to June 2017
Mechanical Engineer (Deputy Regional Manager), BWS, Highlands Regional, Water Operations Division.
The New York City Department of Environmental Protection, Bureau of Water Supply protects public health and the environment by supplying clean drinking water. DEP is the largest combined municipal water utility in the country. We deliver 1.1 billion gallons of high quality drinking water per day to 8.3 million New York City residents and more than 1 million people in Upstate New York. At this position I had a key role to play at the Highlands Regional is the second largest Watershed in upstate New York with 12 reservoirs, 29 dam and 3 lake.
Responsibilities:
Directing the implementation of the design.
Design mechanical equipment and applications using CAD and/or Revit such as “3 tons gantry, weir V-notch, …”
Beam, shape, dimensions and properties selection to comply with design referring to AISC as well as beam material (Steel, stainless steel, aluminum ...), electrical motor and pump sizing.
Oversee construction projects, contactor and subcontractor.
Assist in design for proposed new or repair installations.
Meeting with consultants and contractors, research and submission of historical data/drawings/plans.
Report to the Regional Manager with meeting minutes and my opinion and present issues may require operations decision.
Review & approve technical specifications, engineering plans, and contract bid packages.

DEP is the largest combined wastewater utility in the country. We collect and treat an average of 1.3 billion gallons of wastewater per day. Serving The City of New York on various capital projects funded by various city agencies, implemented by the NYC Department of Environmental Protection. All projects mainly consist of replacing and upgrading the NYC infrastructure from water mains, sewer lines and catch basins along with utilities relocation.
Responsibilities:
Provide all aspects of Mechanical engineering support services for the fourteen wastewater treatment plants and associated pumping station. Responsible in providing analysis of contracts and project budgets.
