• Develop Inventory Management System Strategy with the aim of controlling costs within budgetary limits, generating savings, rationalizing Inventory and maximizing available working capital.

• Stores and equipment belonging to the Council must be clearly marked/ barcoded as such, to indicate ownership.

• Stores reorder levels must be set for all items.

• Conduct stock count/spot check daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly.

• Compile an Inventory Disclosure Note monthly/quarterly for all Inventories.

• Develop Standard operating procedures (SOP), review Inventory management policy and procedure manual annually.
