Hired as the Industrial Engineer to establish and design facility for newly established Applied Computing Division headquarters/integration/warehouse. The 120,000 sq ft building was selected, designed and operational within six months. I was then promoted to Director of Distribution for warehouse operations to help complete installation of high bay racking and mezzanine while in full daily warehousing production. Industrial Engineer/Business Analyst; Hired to incorporate engineered work standards into new WMS for all operations. Found WMS had extremely limited capabilities that the contractor had misrepresented. Shifted work focus to improve operations through design layout and process improvements and improve ergonomics in key areas. Assisted with the project management of the new Reno operations facility and became project manager for implementation of New Jersey, Dallas, and Miami facilities. Designed over 600,000 sq ft of warehouse and office space. As the project manager I developed budget and schedules for all projects and also designed the warehouse layouts utilizing AutoCad. Coordinated efforts for IT, phone, security, warehouse operations, HR, legal, external contractors, city permits/inspectors, training, sales, etc. Developed new work station design to improve ergonomics, implemented in-line scales for the conveyor systems to improve Quality check for small parcel shipments and integrated conveyors with WMS.

Jr. Industrial Engineer
Started as Jr Industrial Engineer and worked my way up to Industrial Engineer and managed the Incentive Department for short period of time prior to departure. Responsibilities included implementation of incentive systems through engineered time studies into all possible departments/functions throughout the company, maintenance of each departments incentive system, and reporting/maintenance of all incentive data. Expanded responsibilities to layout improvements (office and warehouse), workstation design/improvement, process improvement, and project management with startup of two new facilities. Introduced incentive into four additional departments. Implemented bi-annual review of all department’s incentive system. Workstation improvements resulted in reduction of need for second shift in packaging area and improved ergonomics for both packaging and returns processing. Utilizing data from employee incentive system, I developed a spreadsheet for departmental managers to utilize so that they could balance employee work so that departments worked equivalent hours. Effectiveness resulted in improvements from 60-90 minute differentials down to 15-20 minute differentials
