Family Nurse Practitioner and Medical Coordinator of the Children’s Developmental clinic (CDC), providing comprehensive care for pediatric patients through direct medical care to include: health promotion, health supervision, illness prevention and diagnosis, medical education, treatment and management of the various health problems and conditions. I coordinate the medical services and provide service to the families while working with a large multidisciplinary team with includes many practitioners, physicians, therapists, dieticians, psychology and social work. We collaborate with the family’s primary physicians as well as other medical services as needed. I provide the bowel management needs and care to the patients in my clinic with constipation and neurogenic bowels.
I also fill in for HEROES/Weight management, metabolic, infusion center and helmet clinics when a physician or Nurse Practitioner absence or vacancy arose.
I am currently working with my CDC team to develop a pediatric complex care program here at Children’s Hospital and Medical center to expand our care of these patients, possibly to include coordination of care of patients at Madonna and at the Ambassador care centers in Omaha.
