Responsibilities
I supervise 148 inmates a day in a closed custody prison. I make referrals to different departments and case managers as needed by the inmates. I write statements on incidents within the prison environment. I communicate using handheld radios. I work the control booths opening and closing doors for inmates and staff. I make announcements from the booth using the speaker system. I work the Chow hall where the inmates go to eat their meals and use a scanner to get them in and out. I communicate daily with the inmates and staff for 12.5 hours a day.
