●Document verification Prior/Post to shipment like PIO/IDF, PFI, PL. LC,BL, CO, CoA, etc
●Identify the INCOTERM and identify the Nature of material, use of products by Product description, Inspection Reports, Analysis Certificates, photographs, physical samples, material data sheet, and other product information for specific HS classification (provide instructions to Inspectors to collect maximum product description data, photos, samples etc)
●Use WCO’s comments, internet information, discuss with subordinates, Inspectors and superiors for specific HS classification, seek advice from other country’s colleagues, etc.
●Evaluate the price declared by the exporter in the final invoices to determine whether the prices are Under-Invoiced or Over-Invoiced. Accordingly ascertain the actual values for the transactions and inform the concern Customs Authority as per WCO procedures.
●Prepare and maintain Sea Freight and Air Freight databases from different ports
●Preparing the list of risky Exporters and Importers list and update the upper Customs Authorities accordingly their under valuation and under quantity declarations.
●Update the Price Database by latest price quotations, price bulletins, declared export/wholesale price lists, price information thru our other countries offices, periodic Market Surveys, price information received form LO and customs .Global price datapool, etc
●Share the information with other subordinates and country’s colleagues, discuss the pricing strategies they are following... try to improve the pricing strategy accordingly and evaluate monthly KPI results.
