Work Management Scheduler at Westinghouse in Columbia, S.C. Responsible for scheduling Weekly Preventative and Operator Maintenance, including daily Work Orders.
Responsibilities and Duties
MS Project integration and planning: Apply MS Project programming tools and techniques to plan work such that inefficiencies are reduced and overall plant monitoring and performance is optimized. Primary tasks are associated with integrating multiple MS Project schedules used for plant production and producing 3-4 month look ahead views for plant staff evaluation and planning. Promote teamwork and effective communication, which includes maintenance and dissemination of schedule metrics to ensure team, customer(s), and all stakeholders are kept informed of plant production status. Fabrication Buyer/Planner/Supervisor: Forecast entire Plant steel usage for multiple Market lines. Manage within a 3 million dollar per month budget for raw steel orders.
Oversee NC operations for over 2000 different parts that support all areas in the Plant, including a 2nd shift operation.
Schedule internal orders for fabrication on Amada, Cincinnati, Finn-Power and Wysong turret/brake machines that can bend and form thousands of different parts to blue print specifications.

Second Shift Supervisor: Direct 50+ hourly employees in the Mig Welding Fabrication Department (this Department uses mostly purchased parts). This is the beginning phase for the Zero Turn Radius Residential and Commercial mowers.
Major responsibility’s are connected to completing daily schedules for production of a given number of Frames (Chassis’ for mowers). This includes using AS400 to define the number of parts available for up to six weeks in advance.

Notify scheduling of any inconsistencies in the system and physical inventory counts
Hold hourly employees accountable for producing the daily scheduled amounts for the Frames and Decks

Global glass fiber yarns, reinforcements and high performance materials manufacturer; operated as Owens Corning until plant was sold in 1999.
Area/Department Supervisor (2006-2013): Directed approximately 200 hourly staff and 4 supervisors, overseeing all facets of the manufacturing process.
