Plant Superintendent
As a plant superintendent I oversee multiple departments such as shipping, converting, corrugator, and maintenance so that the plant’s production runs efficiently and effectively. I speak with multiple vendors and discuss when supplies are needed and if supplies are not functioning properly, we would consider what other options would be ideal and what would produce greater results. I also speak with customers when they voiced their complaints, work with them to understand what the issue was while simultaneously trying to fix the problem. I also take in to account the routing of new orders and direct them to the machine that would produce greater results. I also manage new hires that come from a temporary service or interview the straight hires and see if they are a good fit for the plat. In addition, I approve the all employees vacation time to ensure we have enough staff to produce all orders while also allowing staff to take their desired time off.
