DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Delegating duties to junior artisans, assistance and apprentice Attending to major breakdowns.

• To ensure safety, health and environmental procedures are followed in and around the workshop.

• To meet deadlines scheduled by management.

• Ordering spare parts in liaison with the stores department.

• To have records for each machine and spares use on the machine.

• To keep records of timesheets, job cards, cannibalism forms and risk assessment forms Servicing, changing engine oil, air filters, brake filters, steering and transmission filters.

• Dissembling and assembling pasi-stop, liquid cooled brakes, cylinder heads on Detroit diesel engines.

• Removing and fitting steering, braking, transmission, engines, centre articulation pins and bushes.

• Removing and fitting axles, H-frames and buckets.

• Removing and treating hoses.

• Do rebuild to the whole machine.

• Troubleshooting on all hydraulic component and correct to the manufactured specification.
