Position; National Project Manager (Borno, Adamawa and Zamfara) May, 2022 to date Budget Management £ 1.5 million

Staff Management: 13 staff

Program and Management

• In coordination with the project manager, prepares, manages, and regularly updates the project activities work plan, ensuring timely and quality implementation in compliance with the defined project strategy as well as INTERSOS and donor guidelines.

• Attends regular meetings with team leads/field staff to discuss programme progress, challenges and take corrective measures as required and develop action plans.

• Actively participate along-with other project leads in coordination meetings, if requested.

• Participate in the development of relevant activities, including monitoring and assessment.

• Supervise, coach and mentor supervisees, delegating responsibilities as appropriate.

• Prepare accurate budget forecast/expenditure plans.

• Support capacity building to project staff and ensure compliance and transparency.

• Contribute to drafting of project concept notes, proposals, and draft reports (including flash updates, weekly/bi-weekly, Monthly and end of project reports).

• Support assessment of risks in the areas of project implementation and support drafting of context specific CPP. Also, support security team in updating project sites security context and analysis.

• Support security team to ensure all project staff know, practice, and follow all security standard operating procedures in the field locations.

• Support building and maintaining productive working relationships with consortium partner leadership

(Solidarities International) as well as other stakeholders in the project intervention locations in the field.

• Maintain open communication with PM and other internal colleagues including Head of Field Offices, logistics team, staff from sectors with a focus on problem solving, office strengthening and program integration.

• Perform any other task as may be assigned.

Administrative/Logistics/Finance

• Supervise the payment of volunteers and other support staff.

• Support the PM during the recruitment process.

• Collects and checks field financial documents (invoices, receipts, attendance sheets, e.t.c) and forward to Maiduguri finance office to ensure timely processing and payment of vendors.

• Ensure regular performance appraisal and career management of staff under supervision.

• Ensure a positive working environment and good team dynamics.

• Contribute to the development on procurements, ensuring INTERSOS and donor requirements are met, and proper documentation is collected and maintained for all procurements.

• In collaboration with logistics, support movements of project staff to ensure there are enough vehicles available for all project activities.

HR Support

• Liaise with project managers for the payment of volunteers and daily workers.

• Conduct regular meetings with supervisees and liaise with the HR department to solve HR-related issues.

• Liaise with HR department to arrange the arrival of a new staff.

• Participate in the induction/orientation of new staff members.

• MEAL

• Provide support to MEAL team as they conduct assessments of community needs, by providing input into the assessment, arranging the logistics of the visit, and support analysis of the assessment results.

• Provide input in development of concept notes, proposals, intervention strategies and budgets taking in consideration community needs, cultural and environmental appropriateness, and feasibility.

• Consolidate and submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly narrative reports on field interventions and submit to PM for review before submission to MEAL for internal & external reporting. WORK EXPERIENCE

Save the Children International (SCI)

Position; Project Coordinator (Child Protection, FSL, WaSH and Nutrition) September, 2021 to May 2022 Budget Management £ 1.5 million

Staff Management: 29 staff + implementing partner

• Managing the design and implementation of program and operational activities in Borno state.

• Ensure quality delivery of program activities such as monitoring against log frames, budget forecast and reporting and monitoring on the BvA.

• In close collaboration with the sector leads and project focal points, manage project field activities while ensuring project objectives are being achieved as well as ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our fieldwork.

• Follow-up and ensure all procurements are implemented in alignment with project procurement plans.

• Facilitated regular project deep dive meetings with sector leads and project focal points to ensure project is implemented on time, budget, and quality.

• Facilitated internal and external donor communications with members and country office.

• Manage logistics process to procure, store and distribute stock, supplies and services for the timely delivery of project objectives within the field base.

• Preparation of timely program and donor reports for project activities in compliance with internal and external requirements.

• Capacity building of the GBV staff, community volunteers and partners.

• Document and maintain detailed record of progress and follow up on contract payment schedules for program activities.

• Attend coordination meetings and work with other actors to ensure gender mainstreaming, GBV prevention, and prioritization occur across response.

Position; Project Team Leader (COVID-19 Response Team) Budget Management $ 4.5 million

+ 160 community-based workers (36 social workers and 124 hygiene promoters)

• The DRC COVID-19 project is a multisector project comprising of Health, WaSH, and Protection

• I am generally responsible for the planning and delivery of OFDA funded COVID-19 response project, ensuring planning, quality of the implementation

• Follow up of the IPC and COVID-19 related PSS activities being implemented by DRC.

• I am responsible also, for developing the project work plan, maintain adequate project records and support the project manager with donor and other types of reports.

• During this period, I have delivered PPEs to health care facilities, distributed hygiene kits recruited hygiene promoters for carrying out hygiene promotion campaigns, participated in the EOC meetings, train DSNOs and carried out assessment to rehabilitate latrines and other wash facilities all in Adamawa state. International Medical Corps (IMC)

• Provision of strategic direction and undertaking analysis of GBV trends, gaps in services, and IMC’s capacities to guide it’s programming in country

• Identify and build strategic partnerships with national and local partners.

• Worked closely with GBV coordinator, country level senior management and program team to achieve program goals.

• Ensure adherence to IMC’s minimum standards as well as relevant inter-agency guidelines and standard.

• Ensure effective community participation through implementation, including leadership of women and girls.

• Oversee appropriate prevention and awareness raising/behavior change strategies.

• Conduct regular program monitoring and quality assurance and applying learning for continuous improvement of interventions.

Position; Community Engagement Officer Nov. 2016 to Jan. 2019 Staff Management: 2 (male and Female)

Responsibilities: Initiate, mobilize and conduct GBV related trainings such as Psychosocial Support training

(PSS), Gender Based Violence training, Caring for Child Survivor training (CCS) as well as Clinical Care for Sexually Assaulted Survivor training (CCSAS). All to community stakeholders, health workers as well as behavioral change training such as Engaging Men Through Accountable Practices (EMAP), Discussion Group Series (DGS) and Start Awareness Support Action (SASA) to Beneficiaries, Health workers, community stake holders and paramilitaries.

Achievements.

• I have worked with other prevention staff to form and monitor VSLA across Michika, Hong, Maiha, Mubi North and South, Yola North and south all of Adamawa state.

• I have also form EMAP groups in the above-mentioned locations of Adamawa state.

• Being a community engagement officer, I establish collaborative relationships with collaborating partners, local authorities in particular the ministry of women affairs and social development, the police, and medical personnel to ensure that trainings are developed to meet their needs.

• In coordination with the WPE training assistants, assist with community mobilization for all GBV trainings and activities.

• In collaboration with the EASE officer assist in the assessment, awareness raising session and formation of EASE groups.

• Follow up with training participants on Monthly basis to determine the level of knowledge gain.

• Ensure the formation of Women, Men and youth groups and develop guidelines for the formation of these groups and their roles with reference to the Nigerian context.

• Took lead in awareness raising sessions to commemorate international events such as but not limited to International Women’s Day, 16 days of activism and international day of the girl child and submit a comprehensive report to the senior program manager.
