• Ensures that the aircraft engine, wheels & brakes requiring maintenance, QEC build-up, repair, modification, test or overhaul are released to service within the required TAT and in compliance to the established quality and safety standards.

• Plans and controls shop work flow processes to ensure that shop maintenance tasks are carried out in accordance with the established quality standards and compliant to regulatory & customer requirements.
• Ensures that components, engine, accessories and piece parts requiring maintenance, repair, modification, test or overhaul are released to service within the required TAT.
• Determines and recommends components that are feasible for in-house shop capability build-up to increase shop productivity and generate more revenues for the company.
• Determines and evaluates the removal forecasts of engine, APU & thrust reversers and coordinates with customer and concerned offices for proper scheduling of required maintenance tasks.
• Ensures that customer Engineering Orders (EO) and regulatory/ OEM directives such as AD, SB, SIL, CMM, ESM, AMM are complied during shop visit of component/ engine.
• Supervises and evaluates the workload package prepared by the Shop Planners based on defined workscope or customer EOs to ensure these will be executed in accordance with the requirements during the shop visit.
• Administers the implementation of TRAX system enhancement affecting component/ engine work planning.
• Takes the lead in identifying, evaluation, implementation and monitoring of lean and cost savings program in the production area to further improve and simplify the processes, increase efficiency and productivity, eliminates waste and improve TAT.
• Initiates post workscope review to determine work compliance on the engine. TRAX should be updated for AD/SB/EC compliance during shop visit.
• Represents concerned shop in meetings with regards to AD/SB/CMM/EO requirements to ensure its compliance.
• Assesses and analyzes actual performance of subordinates against the set standards and objectives to be able to improve individual performance and organizational effectiveness.

• Supervises and oversees the toolroom operations to ensure all time availability of tools, equipment and expendables required to support line and base maintenance operations.
• Plans, organizes, evaluates and implements the maintenance programs for the company’s aircraft tools and equipment.
• Handles the inventory of aircraft tools (Airbus & Boeing), support equipment (mechanized & non-mechanized), mechanic handtools and structural toolings.
• Performs technical evaluation if feasible to locally fabricate special aircraft tools or loan from other MRO or aircraft manufacturer.
• Reviews and determines the replacement or acquisition program of aircraft tools & equipment taking into consideration of the fleet size, age and user operational requirements.
• Directs and controls the performance of repairs, preventive maintenance and refurbishment of aircraft tools and equipment.
• Ensures that the maintenance due dates/ staggering program of precision measuring equipment and tools/equipment with load test requirements are properly monitored and complied to prevent overrun.
• Coordinates with different line, shop and base production lines for their routine and non-routine tooling requirements.

• Manages the Quality system of Aircraft Overhaul Department.
• Develops and maintains the company’s regulatory manuals and department handbook based on the specific requirements of LTP’s Quality system.
• Conducts orientation/ training sessions to explain to productive and support personnel the requirements of airworthiness regulations such as EASA, FAA, CAAP etc. and the customer quality system and documentation requirements.
• Conducts internal audits to ensure production units are in compliance to the established standards set by the company and aviation regulatory authorities.
• Conducts human factors training (safety learning experience) to increase the awareness of mechanics on past incidents/ accidents.
• Analyzes the post D-check layovers with concerned production units to determine the problems and difficulties encountered during the layover.
