I resolve complex relationships between electrical, electronic and mechanical components of chiller systems, refrigeration systems, heating ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, domestic hot water systems, heating hot water systems and compressed air systems on a routine and emergency basis. The complexity of troubleshooting and correcting system malfunctions on these highly complex systems require knowledge that extends well beyond maintenance and repair. I perform and document preventive maintenance inspections to ensure safe, proper and reliable operations of devices. Some of the measures I take include maintaining, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical equipment including, valves, steam traps, steam stations, strainers, gauges, pumps, fans, heat exchangers, chillers, cooling towers, and refrigerant transfer systems. I coordinate the installation of new instruments and systems including upgrades of existing systems with minimal disruption to operations within the building/house. I am able to read and interpret engineering specifications, blueprints, wiring diagrams, manufacture theory and procedural manuals, and electronic schematics and interconnection diagrams. To evaluate, diagnose, and repair various equipment. Some of the tools I utilize are manometers, multi-meters, combustion analyzers, test gauges, infrared thermometer, and dead-weight gauge testers, PT-charts, refrigeration gauges, refrigerant reclaimer, vacuum pump, oxyacetylene torch, torque wrench, capacitor tester, drills and basic Hand tools. I have also Completed my Welding certification in: Gtaw, Smaw, Mig, and plasma cutting. I have certification on pipe welding.
I have piped in boilers and made brackets for boilers and many misc. projects. The ability to perform my job duties requires that I am able to recognize abnormal conditions and situations from computer screens, alarms and printouts. Some of the computer systems I have experience in are as follows: Trane Tracer summit, Novar, trend, Yamas controls, Honeywell controls, and Barbara Coleman pneumatics. Some certifications and accomplishments I have earned include EPA Certification, Forklift Certification, Asbestos supervisor 40-hour training and certification, Welding certification from TATC.

In order to prevent major vessel failures and/or furnace explosions I tested, adjusted, maintained and repaired boiler safety devices such as flame safeguard systems, pressure switches, timers, water column safety devices, electric/electronic probes and sensors, steam safety valves, and automatic and manual fuel valves. Some of the tools I utilized include manometers, multi meters, combustion analyzers, test gauges, infrared thermometer. Part of my job duties include the ability to make major repairs of equipment such as rebuilding pumps, regulators, and motors, replacing black iron piping by cutting, threading pipe. Adjusting fuel feeds, volume and velocity of draft and other firebox variables to maintain combustion efficiencies. Observing and documenting information such as pressures, temperatures, levels, and detectors to detect for signs of trouble and inspecting and checking machinery and equipment for appearance cleanliness, excess heat, and working condition of moving parts were a routine function of my job duties.
