Career Highlights

Initial response point person for exhaust fit issues and all build issues for current vehicle production at Saturn Springhill, TN as a Manufacturing Engineer. APQP SQE Launch Team for exhaust issues during early production build which included supplier visits, gauging changes, bend criteria and mounting bracket location issues for GM 560 super medium duty truck and 610 van.

Rescued multi-million dollar BMW development program for Faurecia Automotive Seating. Recruited during second half of program (90% of suppliers sourced with 60% first-time suppliers), expediting stalled effort to meet milestones while resolving inaccurate documentation.

Organized and instructed workshops in Toyota Production System concepts to senior General Motors/New United Motors Inc. (NUMI) management team during start-up of Toyota joint venture. Awarded short-term NUMI production assignment leading to the development of white paper on Toyota team concepts.

Coordinated quality improvement initiative in early GM role, managing relocation of Cadillac camshaft equipment and processes to alternative location for refurbishing. Successful transfer and operations start-up sparked GM decision to launch engine remanufacturing operation.
