Here I perform inspections on all wheeled vehicles. I inspected them at unit and DS/GS level. I perform acceptance inspections when unit brings vehicle to be worked on. I also
perform initial, in-progress, and final inspections on vehicles/equipment when delivered.
I also prepared records of inspections to be available to the QA/QC department. I also verify that individuals working on the equipment are using adequate and up to date TM's and ETM's. Reject any workmanship that does not follow the TM procedures. I also provide guidance and technical assistance to maintenance personnel. Maintain communication with QA and LAR representatives. Help with Shop Supervisors when technical problems arise on vehicle in the shop area and in mechanical knowledge when needed. Cross train in quality programs to maintain and possess technical skills of quality programs. I also became a Quality Advacat and attended the Quality Advacat cource on 25 Feb 2013.

Here I was working as a Lead Truck Mechanic. I inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and service all FMTV vehicles. I am responsible for all maintenance, paperwork being prepared properly on these vehicles. I use all technical manuals and ETM's for these vehicles to keep within 10/20 standards. I also was trained for 3 weeks as a QA/QC. I assisted the actual QA/QC in inspecting vehicles for final inspection. I was also awarded a quarterly safety award in Jan. 2010. May 2010 I became QA/QC to prepare vehicles for final inspection. For 12 months worked as Lead Mechanic. I was responsible for 12 teams, gave technical advice, troubleshot problems, prepared vehicle statuses, follow up on parts requests, made sure that the vehicle paperwork was prepared properly and made sure the vehicles were 10/20 standard for QA and Final inspections.

Mar 2003 – Feb 2004: National Guard Unit activated for Operation Noble Eagle. Ft. Bragg, NC. Here I worked on light and heavy wheeled vehicles, HMMV M998, 2.5 tons and 5 ton vehicles. Inspected and troubleshot maintenance problems and repaired those problems using technical manuals that are available. Deployed to Jordan from Apr 2003 till July 2003, 2.5 months with 278th Maint. Co. from Alabama.
Dec 00 – May 02: 40 HPW, Materials Handler, WG-6907-04; RBC, Supply Division, Central Issue Facility, Ft. Campbell, KY. 42223, Ms. Cyndi Bass, 270-***-****. This is a temporary appointment NTE 3 Dec 01. Load, unload, receive, issue, palletize, wrap, identify, mark, store, warehouse, inspect, relocate, and inventory Central Issue Facility items using forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
Sep 97 – Jan 00: 40 HPW, Material Examiner & Identifier, WG-6912-06, DRMO (Europe), RAF Molesworth, Molesworth, England, Mr. Andy Rose, DSN 268 2637. Received military property for disposal or for reuse in the military community. Input the received documents into Daisy. Operated forklifts ranging from standup to 15K (operated the equipment with safety and caution). Duties also included: receiving, location of property and materials, housekeeping, proper identification of property and equipment. I ensured that the property had the correct DEMIL code assigned, performed research on FED LOG, worked with receiving 1348 XR1’s, XR2’s, XR3’s. Worked and processed property for Retail Sale, priced and located items. Kept up to date on computer skills related to the function of DRMO, ensured customer satisfaction.

I visited the local DRMO and screened the property available, inspected property and prepared property description reports to fax to my supervisor for dispatch to our state representatives. Once my supervisor found a buyer, he would fax me the sf-123, and I would coordinate with a shipping company to ship the property/materials for the next shipment. After making shipping arrangements, I prepared Straight Bill of Lading. I made the necessary copies of the forms and presented them to the Re-Ute Officer at DRMO, and I made appointments to pick up the property. Property included military vehicles of all types and miscellaneous office, mechanical, etc.
May 95 – Dec 95: WG-02, Temporary position, DRMO, RAF Molesworth, Molesworth, England, Mr. Ed Harpole, DSN 268 2637. While working at the DRMO Molesworth, I was licensed for and operated forklifts ranging from standup to 15K. I preformed various warehouse duties such as receiving and releasing property, locating and storing merchandise. I worked in p24 breakdown, which is separating all types of precious metals. I also worked with customers to help them locate different items listed in the sales catalog. I operated the forklifts safely and with caution.
Jan 93 - Feb 95: Wyoming Army National Guard. 62B, Heavy Construction Vehicle Mechanic. I performed maintenance on dozer, scrapers, and frontend loaders. I performed the maintenance by using all technical manuals to 10/20 standards.
May 80 – Feb 92: United States Army. SGT/E-5, 19E/19K, Armor Crewman. Maintain the maintenance and serviceability of the armor vehicle. Insured the running and the operational of the vehicle. Maintain the combat readiness of the vehicle. I was also accountable for the Basic Issue Items of the vehicle. I was also unit NBC NCO. I was responsible for the unit NBC readiness. I was also the unit Arms Room NCO. I was responsible for the operation and maintenance of the unit’s weapons and night sights.
