• Schedule appointments, arranges conferences, meetings and travel plans as needed for Superintendent, and board members

• Produce letters, memos, and other correspondence

• Compile, type and distribute various reports, board items, etc.

• Screens telephone calls and re-routes to appropriate administrator when necessary

• Maintains filing system of reports, correspondence, etc.

• Opens and processes mail for Superintendent and board members 2

• Orders supplies, performs bookkeeping tasks, processes purchase order requisitions and travel forms (reconcile travel when completed)

• Reserves meeting rooms, coordinates materials for those attending, makes necessary food arrangements

• Post all board meetings and committee meetings in a timely manner

• Compiles the meeting agenda items, assumes responsibility for securing the printing and distribution of the monthly board agenda in a timely manner

• Coordinates activities relating to the adoption of Board policies and Administrative Operating guidelines, including forwarding approved revisions to departments

• Maintains Superintendent budgetary records and purchase orders and monitoring of funds

• Assumes responsibility for preparing federal compliance reports

• Order and maintain inventory of supplies for the Superintendent

• Complies with directions and instructions from supervisor and performs other tasks and assumes such responsibilities as may be assigned

• Participated in meetings and special events as assigned

• Contact board members and other administrators with pertinent information

• Notifies principals and directors of district meetings

• Complies with district policies, as well as state and federal laws and regulations

• Provides complete and accurate information in the conduct of district business

• Deal with a diversity of opinion and handle irate people distressed by decisions

• Maintain positive and cooperative working relationships with colleagues and others in the conduct of district business; demonstrates teamwork in daily activities.
