United Nations Field Service. Jul 2010 to March 2015

Assigned to the Headquarters (NY) Logistic/Strategic Transport/Movement Control Office. Provided support to Peace Keeping missions worldwide. Tasks included close cooperation with professionals and consultants involved in the timely transport and rotation of Peace Keeping troops and their equipment. Duties called for close cooperation with Country Missions to the UN at the Civilian Diplomats and Military Officers, UN Procurement personnel, UN Officers at differents parts of the world were UN Mission is located.

●Field Service Missions Nov 2001 to Jun 2010

Served as Admin Officer and Procurement OIC during the UN dealing with Arms Inspection during the Iraqi “Food for Oil” Program. managed by the United Nations Security Council,

acted as part of the Team Security and Safety duties during the Air and Land surface evacuation of U.N. personnel in Baghdad, Erbil-Mosul, and Basrah after the bomb attacked on 19 Aug 2003

to the UN HQ in Baghdad.Served as Flying Officer on Mil Rescued Operations on a Jordanian C-130 Med Air Hospital during the Med-Evac operation for injured at the bomb attacked.

In 2004 performed duties as OIC Air Operations at the Humanitarian Mission in Iran, managing air movements between Cyprus, Jordan, Kuwait, Emirates and Iran.

in 2005 returned to Iraq and ensure the installation of the operations as OIC UN Movement Control Center and Air Terminal Station at the Baghdad Coalition Forces Military Airport in addition of offices at Kuwait and Jordan. Liaison with US and Coalition Forces and DOD to ensure the safety and security movements of Senior UN Officials, Staff support and equipment resources.

United Nations Head Quarters NY Jul 1996 to Nov 2001

Implemented a new and novel system of recovery and recognition of United Nations documents based on state of the art computerized scanning (bar coding) system. This development saved large amounts of funds to the system as this process had been contracted out of the system.

For additional contributions to the Mailed and Shipping processes upon request. Wrote a internal ISO 9001 and 14000 Series for the Sales Dispatch Unit that provided warehousing and supplies services to the UN Sales Section with customers worldwide with a 1 Million + monthly sales operations.

Field Service Missions Jul1991 to Jun 1996

Participated in multiple mission installation team and deployments dealing with United Nations Peacekeeping, Electoral and Humanitarian Missions. Served in Angola, Namibia, Mozambique, and South Africa. Responsibilities involved Logistics, Budgeting, Strategic Transport, and Movement Control Operation Management. The tasks involved, and the results achieved, are too many and too varied to be listed. Please refer to Attachment for details.

Developed a system that allowed for a more efficient and faster distribution of United Nations documents, both internally – to serve the Security Council, ECOSOC, the Trusteeship Council, the Secretariat, the International Court of Justice – and externally – Mission to the U.N., accredited news sources, interested government entities.
